My edges are really weak. So much so they feel like they hurt when I handle them Crying or Very sad . I finger comb my hair mostly and I am very gentle. I think my weak edges are a result of my last pregnancy. But I still love my Li-Li. Yet, I don't remember them bothering during the pregnancy but back then I thought my hair looked the best it ever has. Last night when twisting I was like gentle, gentle. I don't put any pressure on that area and the twists are loose so not to irritate. I have had problems before when I was transitioning and wearing individuals. I just wonder is there a way to make them stronger.

ORS Carrot Oil Cream is chocked full of natural goodies that help strengthen weak hair- carrot oil, coconut oil, castor oil, etc.
Also Africa's Best/Organics Hair Fertilizer has done wonders at filling in my thin edges.

Do you apply a leave-in and/or moisturizer in those areas daily? You might try misting your edges with a combo of Infusium + African Royale Braid Spray daily. This combo provides strength and moisture to keep your hair balanced.

You should try the Dr. Mircles Nape and Neck. I've heard great things about it.

Yup i second that Dr. Miracles motion Smile I was listening to a radio show the other day and they were saying the Nape and Neck product is really good to massage into your edges and this was said by an actual hair doctor/specialist on the show to answer alot of black haircare questions so I gues it might be worth a try.

Best wishes! Wink

I'm not exactly sure what the feel it formula is but I used Dr. Miracles Braid spray before and it definitely makes your scalp tingle. Which I'm guessing is a good thing, ya know good blood circulation.

This sounds interesting. Is it better than the Organic Root Stmulator Brand?

Well, I have been using the castor oil on my edges. Mainly because it is what I had on hand. And it seems to be working, I notice a fullness around my edges. I presume that is new grow. I was pretty sure my edges were the result of child birth and a Depo shot that I will never get again. Anyhow I wish I had taken pictures so I could compare. But things look good.

very nice Pasheen, that's really good to hear, I'm glad your experiencing progress and that also gives me more incentive to keep up with my daily scalp massages Wink

Hey Pasheen, I'm glad that castor oil is working for you. One more thing make sure you don't pull your hair too tightly whenever you put you hair in a ponytail

pantene dailly oil cream moisturizer has been really good for my edges. when wearing a ponytail soft sheen carson jam is great. it doesn't harden your hair. it more conditions my hair. at first it is like gel when you put it on, but soon it just becomes like any other leave in conditioner. i usually get my hair as i want it with the jam, then put on a scarf for 10 minutes to make sure it last all day. and it does. my edges are thickening and growing a lot. awhile ago, i had my sister give me braids and she gave me a baldspot Evil or Very Mad it is filling in

I have been using the Dr. Miracles feel it products for the past 2 months I had just cut all the perm off and started growing natural. People could see the fast rate at which my hair was growing and commented on it. The temple and nape balm also worked miracles for me as I had had a temple problem for abt 3 years. Currently I'm in braids so can't use it as effectively but its really good. The "feel it" is actually the soothing sensation u feel with every Dr. Miracles product u feel it for some minutes after each application. Hope I've been of help to you. Smile
