Ok, here's my story:
This is week two(Technically it's the beginning of week three, but whatever...) since my relaxer on December 3rd and I began using Creme of Nature Detangling, Conditioning shampoo, Doo Gro Mega Anti Thinning Conditioner, and Organic Root Stimulator Carrot oil. When I got my relaxer done, my hair dresser said my ends were damaged, so I cut my ends. After that, I used the products I mentioner before, after putting a mixture of avocado and mayo in my hair for 8-12 minutes. The first time after my relaxer, when doing this regimen, I didn't do a hot oil treatment after using the shampoo and conditioner, but the last time(December 19th, Friday) I did use a hot oil treatment of Africa's Best Oil and some olive oil. BUT, even in doing all this stuff, I STILL got split ends. I know I wrote a lot but, still, can anyone help???!!! _________________ Current length>>A little more than APL

First of all, it will take a little time to completely fix this problem. It doesn't happen with one treatment.
1. Be sure to do a protein treatment a week before your next relaxer
2. Use Roux Porosity Control after your relaxer. Like, when you go wash out the relaxer, after shampooing, use the Roux.
3. Deep condition once a week with your weekly shampoo. (I use ORS Mayo)
4. Grease your ends and seal with an oil. Saran wrap your ends. (at night) |

I had that same problem Shaniece17! I had micro braids in my hair and one of the african lady pulled one side of hair to tight and my hair fell out The right side was past my shoulders and the left side was just 2 inches below my hair Even though I looked hella weird with my hair like that I still NEVER cut my hair all the same length! I still wore my hair in a bun everyday for work(Military) It finally grew to the same length, BUT I had BAD split ends(from not oiling my ends) So no you don't have to cut your hair to the same length for it to grow! _________________ BSL 2011-JUNE 2012 |

that article that was posted at the top was helpful,i keep hearing about the Roux conditioner and want to know more experiences about it.Another thing is i it completely necessary to moiturize and seal ecery single day to prevent split ends?sometimes i feel that i may apply a little too much on one day so it doesnt seem like id need to moiturize and seal the following day, sometimes for 2 days. _________________ BSL 2011 |

I think it depends on the type of hair that you have. My hair drinks moisture like a fish. I oil & seal 2x a day. If I don't, my hair gets dry & breaks. _________________

what does it mean when you see a few hair strands that are about maybe a little less than an inch in your hand after moisturizing and sealing?sometimes i see small choppy pieces and the pieces are really tiny....what could be going on? _________________ BSL 2011 |
