I dont like going to hair salons for a trim. They always take too much off.

Does anyone know how to properly trim or "dust" split ends?
I google and youtube it all the time, but it always seems like the person demonsrating it has long straight hair going down their back, which is a lot easier to trim than shorter hair

My hair isnt every long, it stops about an inch past my earlobes

Any help? Please???

I dust my ends about every 3 months. Which is not like trimming. It takes less off.

I followed the steps on this site

jp i just read that info, thanks.its been truly helpful.im so nervous to go to any salon at this point due to not trusting ANY of them. The amount of growth that I do have I dont want anyone cutting it....Ive waited so patiently so far for this growth and so Im just trying to keep my hair moisturized and my ends moisturized and tucked with a pin.My last trim was in January so Im not sure when I should even go to thr salon again..

I just went to a natural hair stylist and she cut my APL length hair back to past SL. You can imagine how upset I was.

I didn't realize until she started snipping. Then when she did, it wasn't much. It didn't worry until she kept going. I have so much shrinkage, my hair still lands beyond my shoulders but it wasn't as long. But I had to admit. My ends were a bit thin and the trimming did even it up. But I lost a few inches of hair. Lesson definitely learned.

I use the creaclip for even ends about every two to three months and I use it about once a month on my bangs. I purchased some pro scissors from Sallys. Please do not use cheap scissors or the splits will return faster!

This is the site I ordered the creaclip from: www.creaclip.com
