Rolling Eyes I love using eggs as a protein treatment but i'm wondering if its bad for my scalp bcuz raw eggs contains bacteria like salmonella...

Shocked What you think ladies are raw eggs bad for the scalp???


Sad Personally i think i should stop using raw eggs as treatment...

Raw eggs have salmonella? I thought it was just chicken and mayonnaise? I think salmonella isn't bad unless it's inside of you. My brother caught it but it was through consumption. Unless it's going to asorb itself through your scalp, it can't harm you. If that's the case use a shampoo with SLS to clease your hair and kill the bacteria.

Gee I never thought of it that way but I rather buy a product with protein than use eggs

Yeah but I think when we handle eggs we have to wash our hands right? If we are putting them raw on our scalp what are the chances. Anyway, for me I think I will leave it alone.

so Arrow, to this day do you not use raw eg in your hair?I thought it was ok to use at times myself, but i didnt care for all the work lol

No I don't use raw eggs at all. You can use mayo instead.

i am gonna try this treatment if i do see anymore bits of hair in the tub and on the 18th ill be doing another Aphogee treatment to see if that was the culprit Sad

Been using one egg mixed with conditioner every week for 2-3 weeks now and I'm loving it. I don't have half of the breakage I was having with the scrunchies or the comb.

When Stretching the time between relaxers to at least 8-10 weeks it can lead to healthier, longer hair but hair can break at the point where the relaxed and natural parts of the hair meet. To keep breakage at a minimum, strength and moisture of the hair must be balanced....
