I woud like to see the pics of your sew in... Speaking of protective styles I haven't braided my hair in a while... I guess I am loving the wig thing

Well I took my sew in out yesterday I was in desperate need of a wash and condition....BUT...I did hide my hair my little sister knowshow to do quick weaves and I have a stocking cap on my head so none of the weave is glued to my hair..LETS GO HAIR WARRIORS..I am excited to see what my hair looks like on Picture day!! I never thought I would be wearing tracks but I think this is THEE BEST way for me to hide my hair..I really dont like sew in but I MOST DEFINITELY LIKE the quick weaves I am able to wash and condition my hair once every week or two and get me some new hair..

only the best for your tress... braid your hair up and leave it alone (I am trying to help your hand in hair syndrome)

I have my hair in a quick weave rightnow..lol i do have that bad but i would rather put my hand in my head 2 or 4 times a month rather than 30..If idont keep this in for 2 weeks I know it will be in b n for a week and then ill get another one in keep that in for a week and on until the challenge is over. I must wash and condition my hair..if i had braids i would be okay..I did have a lot of dead hair when I took that sew in out..but after I comber away all the hair I no longer had any breakage or shedding..but i did have quite a bit of dead hair..o well..I dont care as long as I see improvement by December Ill be satisfied. Very Happy

@malika26- How long did you have your sew-in for?
For maximum retention, I think it's best you keep your protective styles in for at least 2-3 weeks at a time.

@MissCoco2010- You should do a wet/wavy or curly look.

Yes it is Ace but I put the stocking cap over my hair and when it is time to take down I just use some conditioner and/or baby oil on the tracks and it comes right out. No hair loss or damage

o,thanks malika.I see now.that seems pretty cool.and you can leave it in for a while?thats nice.So Im assuming that the hair is braided underneath the stocking cap then the glue is applied to the tracks and then the cap, does any of the glue seep through the cap and get on to the hair sometimes,or is that the idea?

Yes it is braided and I only leave it for a week and yes the glue does seep thru but once I put the conditioner and baby oil on it the glue loosend right up. I think the quick weaves r better for my hair because my hair has thicken up alot..when I had that sew in for my birthday my hair felt so thin..I immediaetly (spelled wrong) starting doing the ORS treatments and my hair has thicken up alot and I have hardly any shedding or breakage when I remove the cap

I have had my hair braided for the pass week and some change. I have only had my hair out 5 days which I got it straighten and splitended(new word) it. I curled it up rocking the fro hawk then I braided it up. Hopefully I can keep it in until the middle of december. I am going to braid it back up when I take this out.
