Hello all!
I've never had a perm or relaxer and I was wondering if the Aphogee hair care line would have the same effects on my hair as it would chemically treated hair. And if anybody else out ther is wearing their hair naturally, how do you manage?

I really don't think you can get chemical results from it but it's worth a try. If it works for you then that's half the battle right?

I agree Rocquel. Although I have never used these products myself, I have spoke to a number of professional and I asked a question similar to yours and they advise me to use it with caution because it does cause natural hair to dry out.

The ingredients in Aphogee products are so potent that I believe [personally] that it is best for chemically treated hair because the products works directly on the hair and scalp with no disturbance of a curl pattern to get in its way.

However, Aphogee does have some amazing protein and conditioning treatments. I have heard that their protein treatments, the two-minute reconstructor, and the green tea and keratin spray works wonders. These are the only products that I would probably include in my hair care regimen. I like to alternate frequently.

We will see...

I think the ingredients are too strong for relaxed hair. Maybe they have to be diluted?

I have heard that they work well on relaxed tresses, but I have also heard quite the contrary for natural hair.

I've never been relaxed in my life and I use the Aphogee 2 min. reconstructor. I love it. It smells great and makes your hair feel soft but strong at the same time. My advice for using any of the other Aphogee products is to ALWAYS follow the directions for how long you should leave the product in and follow it up with a moisturizing deep conditioner. I looove KeraCare Moisturizing Conditioner.
