How do you work with your new growth and perm hair to make a nice style.

When I was in this stage I also found it very difficult. What worked for me was plenty of leave in conditioner and when the regrowth got to a lenght I could deal with I cut out all the processed hair and cornrowed my hair (with and without braiding extentions), having it redone every 4-6 weeks. Within 8 months my natural hair was at a lenght that enabled me to tie it back and the healthiest it's ever been.

I deep condition and use a good leave-in conditiner and use a mosturizer that work on both natural and relaxer hair like profectiv mega growth. This helps me get the comb through to style. My hair is to my bra strap though so most of the time i braids or twist it up to save time. Straw curls alos work well with new growth.

These 2 things really are key to minimizing breakage at the demarcation line (when newgrowth and relaxed hair meet). Scheduling a consistent deep conditioning and moisturizing routine will really help to make your hair more manageable will transitioning or stretching relaxers.
